Babble.com Names CTIS Among Top 50 Charities For Babies and Small Children
SAN DIEGO, CA – Babble.com, a highly popular website for pregnant women and parents of young children, has named the California Teratogen Information Service (CTIS) Pregnancy Health Information Line among the “Top 50 Charities For Babies and Small Children.”
CTIS is listed among other notable non-profits such as the March of Dimes and National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition.
In the Babble.com article, the writer provides information not only about CTIS’ free services for California parents about exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but also about ways to donate to the organization. “This is very exciting for us and could not come at a better time when our resources are stretched, yet the demand for our services remains high,” said Dr. Christina Chambers, CTIS program director and professor of pediatrics and the University of California, San Diego. “We hope this will mean that more women and families will become aware of the work that we do, and appreciate the importance of keeping our service available to the many women and babies who can benefit,” she added.
According to Quantcast.com, a website that monitors traffic on websites worldwide, Babble.com receives about 2 million visitors monthly in the U.S. alone.
“I think it’s a terrific honor to have Babble.com, yet another independent source, identify us as worthy of the public’s trust and money for our free, vital service,” said Sonia Alvarado, CTIS supervising counselor.
